Spirit Week^O^
This week was spirit week . In the beginning of the week, me, Bretman, Yazmeen, Nicki, and Lani had high hopes for our team to win both chain links and penny wars . But then after days went by and both teams 7-2 and 7-3 were bringing all their pennies needing more jars . And we started loosing faith . LOL but i still had faith in our team cheer , it was just that i wasn't really comfortable doing the dances . The Harlem Shake was okay but the Wobble ?! just no . Anyways, we won FIRST PLACE(: i was shocked that we really did win first . Well, actually it was a tie with team 7-1 . We still won though .
Starting with Monday-
Well, i didn't go to school that day because i had a fever and a major headache . It was Pre 1950's and i wish i was there at school because i wanna see everybody in 1950's clothing(x But i didn't because I'm always sick . Why is it every time, right after getting shot immunizations i get sick . Its irritating .
Tuesday-
That day's dress out was polka dot day and since i didn't have anything polka dot except these long sleeves top that i didn't wanna wear, i had no choice but to waste a pair of knee high pants . i just drew circles and made polka dots on it . It was my first time working for spirit week and it was a good start . I worked at team 7-2's station . That team is competitive . Teachers were giving out just strands of polka dot fabric . Isn't that cheating ? They should've been disqualified . At recess 7-2 had this two full bottles of pennies and 1 big ziploc bag full with pennies . I thought, they win already but then i saw people from other teams putting silver coins and dollar bills so i knew they'd lose already . LOL . Chain links . Not much people were focusing on chain links . They all cared about the penny war which was kind of worthless because only one team wins with 10 points . Same goes with the chain like . People don't know that the two things that could make them win are the canned good drive and having people on their team dress out .
Wednesday-
It was aloha attire . I wore my sister's uniform . LOOL ghetto but that was all i had . Penny wars and chain links were still going . Teachers was passing out Hawaii polo's . That wasn't fair . Nothing during this day was so special .
Thursday-
Military day . Okay so this day was bizarre . This day was the last day to turn in all canned goods, pennies, and last day to buy chain links . Well, let me just say 7-2 is good at this . Im guessing MR. Barayuga bought all these packs of vienna sausages to win.-. LOOOOL that's not all . 7-3 is also getting good . They were also bringing many pennies for penny wars . the thing that really freaked me out was that somebody put a 40 dollar bill in team 7-3's jar . That was a waste of money but its for a good cause(: its donation . During our period, we were stuck in A103 counting all the coins . That was hard work because they was a lot of them . and i mean a lot . It took us about 35 minutes of period six and lunch and advisory to finish counting, stacking, and putting them in these packages to keep count better . Just for 8'th grades ones . Imagine how long it will take to do 7th grade . It took the whole period 2 and we had to stay after school to finish . We didn't finish one team though . I don't know which one . But Team 7-3 won penny wars . Team 7-3 also won chain links .
Friday-
This day was the day i was waiting for . In the morning, it was hectic . We took out tables and put them outside by the stage . then we ended up putting them back in front of A101, A102, A103 just like the other days and then back inside to A101 . it was a lot of carrying and a lot of hard work . Giving out wristbands were crazy . They were so many people and i was sitting right next to the speaker so it was hard for me . After, in homeroom we had the cheer offs . 8-3 went first . Honestly, their team was good ! then other teams went and teams went then before i knew it, it was our turn . Our cheer turned out better than i thought it would turned out . Because from all the practices we had, we all did nothing but fool around but at the actual cheer off day, we did a great job . That was when i got my faith back(x Then really races . Team 7-2 won for seventh trade and our team won for eight grade !(: we were all so happy . When heighlee announced who won for relay race, we were so loud when we screamed for victory . LOOl then it was it . The winner for the cheer offs winner . Team 8-2 got fourth place . 3rd place was a tie with team 7-3 and 8-3 . 2nd place was 7-2 . And we were thinking we haven't place and there is still two teams left . We were very nervous . Then Heighlee said 1st place was also a tie . Both 8-1 and 7-1 won !(: We screamed our heads off . Then we went out of our class and started to say our team . We were all so happy .
So spirit week was a success . We had difficulties and this week was very stressful for all of us but it turned out as a great week(: Thats it then . Bye bloggers(:
